This corner of the internet exists because some thoughts are too long for social media and too interesting to leave rattling around inside my head.
I'm Hayley, the illustrator, writer, and creator behind Gainful Bhaji. While the shop focuses on merchandise inspired by games, fantasy, and other things I find endlessly fascinating, this blog is where I explore the ideas behind it all.
You'll find game reviews, book club ramblings, creative process posts, design experiments, behind-the-scenes projects, and the occasional reflection on creativity, storytelling, and modern life. Some posts will be thoughtful, some will be mildly ridiculous. A few will probably be both.
I have a particular fondness for character-driven stories, fantasy worlds, strange ideas, and the art. Whether that's found in a video game, a novel, a painting, or a conversation with a friend, it's all fair game here.
This isn't a news site, a marketing machine, or a content farm. It's simply a collection of things that seemed worth writing down.
